Located in Ancramdale, New York, the Woodhull Institute retreat center sits on almost 100 acres of land at the foothills of the Berkshire Mountains. It is a place of serenity with rolling hills, ridges, bluffs, hiking trails, wetlands, streams, and clearings for outdoor classrooms. The spot provides an ideal setting to train participants in sensible risk-taking, ethical leadership, and teamwork. At the center of this landscape stands a large retreat house in the Neo-colonial style, which serves as the Institute’s main structure. The Institute houses its’ Professor Fay Goleman library, common areas, gathering rooms, viewing deck, dining hall and sleeping facilities for 23. Our library specializes in women’s literature and there are plans to expand our selection of books on social justice, ethics, leadership, and women’s history.
The center provides a serene environment for meetings, conferences, seminars, and workshops for up to 23 overnight guests. The center offers optional meals and an attentive support staff. Sleeping accommodations are set family style in large and airy rooms in the following configuration:
First Floor: Handicapped accessible bedroom with a private handicapped accessible bathroom, this room contains 2 queens size beds.
Second Floor: 1 single room 1 double room 3 triples 2 quad
